The 2015 NBA Playoffs Western Conference Finals are officially underway, and we’ve got a very intriguing evening of basketball ahead as the East gets going tonight. While we’re waiting on tip-off, let’s check out some of the notable players and situations out there in the news.
Warriors-Rockets: This Western Conference Finals series should be pretty interesting. Game 1 was quite the nail-biter last night, as Golden State rallied from an early 16-point deficit toward a 110-106 win over the streaking Rockets.
The Warriors switched to a small lineup to counter Houston’s play style, and streaked to a 21-4 run at the end of the first half. Stephen Curry totaled 34 points on the evening. On the other side, James Harden managed 28 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists and four steals.
Game 2 is tomorrow night in Oakland.

1. Minnesota Timberwolves
2. Los Angeles Lakers
3. Philadelphia 76ers
4. New York Knicks
5. Orlando Magic
After another early playoffs exit, the Clippers are resigned to licking their wounds and getting ready for the 2015-16 campaign.
Among the burning questions facing the team this off-season is the impending free agency of center DeAndre Jordan, and whether or not the team will attempt to retain him.
Clips coach Doc Rivers says the team will be actively courting Jordan and will be one of the teams in the running to give him a max contract. Jordan is sure to gain lots of interest from many cap-rich teams this off-season, so he’ll have some tough decisions to make on his next destination. Whether or not that will be L.A. remains to be seen.
