We’re getting back to the Eastern Conference Finals in the 2015 NBA Playoffs tonight, and Game 2 is sure to provide lots of excitement. While we’re settling in, let’s check out some of the stats and players in the news this morning. Here’s the latest.
Warriors-Rockets: Game 2 between the Rockets and Cavaliers in the Western Conference Finals was another classic, and the Warriors were able to come out on top once again. Stephen Curry scored 33 points in the 99-98 nail-biter, while Rockets guard James Harden lost the ball in the closing seconds of the game, ending the chances for a Houston victory.
Prior to that last-second gaffe, however, Harden led the team from 17 points behind in the first half, scoring 38 points with 10 rebounds and nine assists. Dwight Howard added 19 points and 17 rebounds.
Game 3 is tomorrow in Houston.

It remains to be seen whether or not Cavs guard Kyrie Irving will be able to play in tonight’s Game 2, but the team is holding out hope.
Cleveland coach David Blatt said the team is hopeful Irving will play, but it doesn’t sound like anything is certain just yet. Irving has a strained right foot and some tendinitis in his knee.
Good news for the Hawks. Forward DeMarre Carroll left late in the team’s Game 1 loss to the Cavs due to a knee injury, but he only sustained a bone bruise and escaped any structural damage.
Carroll is still day-to-day, so it’s possible he may not play in tonight’s Game 2 matchup in Atlanta.
