We’re finishing up the long holiday weekend with Game 4 in the NBA’s Western Conference Finals. The Warriors have a chance to complete the four-game sweep and take the series, but before we get settled in and await tip-off, let’s check out some of the notable players and situations out there.
Cavs-Hawks: The Cavaliers are now up 3-0 on the Hawks in the Eastern Conference Finals, following an overtime nail-biter in Cleveland last night. LeBron James started out badly, missing his first 10 shots of the game, but recovered well enough to grab a triple-double in the 114-111 victory.
James posted 37 points, 18 rebounds and 13 assists, basically carrying the team across the finish line and over the Hawks, who were missing Kyle Korver (injury) and Al Horford (ejected in the first half).
Atlanta had a couple of chances to tie in the final seconds, but came up short. They’ll be playing for their playoff lives in Game 4 tomorrow night.
