The Line: Indiana Fever +1 -- Over/Under: 156.5 See the Latest Odds
The Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever play Sunday afternoon at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The Chicago Sky look to snap a two-game losing streak and get their first road win. The Chicago Sky are averaging 84.3 points on 44.6 percent shooting and are allowing 80 points on 42.4 percent shooting. Elena Delle Donne is averaging 32.7 points and 7.3 rebounds while Cappie Pondexter is averaging 16 points and 2.3 assists. Courtney Vandersloot is the third double-digit scorer and Sasha Goodlett is grabbing 2.7 rebounds. Despite shooting just 20 percent from long range, the Chicago Sky continue to score points by the boatload. The problem is the Sky aren’t playing a lick of defense and are allowing teams to shoot 44.4 percent from deep. The Sky need to find balance in order to turn things around.
USA TODAY Sports
The Indiana Fever look for their second victory after beating the Phoenix Mercury on Friday. The Indiana Fever are averaging 74.2 points on 40.5 percent shooting and are allowing 83.2 points on 42.2 percent shooting. Tamika Catchings is averaging 20 points and 10 rebounds while Marissa Coleman is averaging 12.8 points and 1.5 assists. Natalie Achonwa is the third double-digit scorer and Shenise Johnson is dishing 1.3 assists. The Indiana Fever still need to improve their defense, as they’ve allowed no less than 74 points in each of their first four games. Catchings will be suspended for this game after making contact with a referee Friday night. Erlana Larkins is questionable with a knee injury.
The Sky are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 2 days rest and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games. The Fever are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a S.U. win and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Sky are 1-5 ATS in the last 6 meetings in Indiana and 9-24 ATS in the last 33 meetings overall.
The Fever are going to be without their top player, and they haven't faired well already this season without her. I'm taking the Sky to pull this one out on the road.
