The NBA Finals continue at Oracle Arena where the Golden State Warriors host the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Much has been made of the Cleveland Cavaliers defense in the NBA Finals but a 103-82 home loss in game four proved they do have to score if the D doesn’t hold up. The Cavaliers looked a bit tired in a 27-12 4th quarter that turned a competitive game in to a rout. Even LeBron looked weary after a 20 point effort on 7-22 shooting although he grabbed 12 rebounds and handed out eight helpers. Timofey Mozgov paced the attack with 28 points and ten boards with Tristian Thompson adding 12 points and 13 pulls. Matthew Delavedova was a non factor with ten points on 3-14 after a 20 point performance in game three. The bench gave the Cavs just seven points as the team hit at only 33% from the field.

The Golden State Warriors and their potent offense finally solved the rugged Cavaliers defense with a 27-12 run over the final 12 minutes doing the trick. The one, two punch of Stephan Curry and Andre Iguodala netted 22 points apiece on a combined 16-32 effort from the floor including 8-16 from beyond the arc. Draymond Greene and Harrison Barnes contributed 17 and 14 points respectively while Klay Thompson and David Lee scored nine points each. Golden State sank shots at a 47% clip and if that happens going forward the NBA championship is theirs because the Cavaliers don’t have the ammunition to score with the Warriors.

The under is 6-0 in Warriors last 6 Sunday games and is 8-1-1 in Warriors last 10 home games while the Warriors are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 Sunday games. The under is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings and the Cavaliers are 2-6 ATS in the last 8 meetings in Golden State while going 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings. It will be interesting to see the line after Thursday’s contest but if it’s close to 8-9 points again I might be looking at Cleveland so please check back…
