See the Latest Odds

Today’s the big day. In just a matter of hours, we’ll be seeing the 2015 NBA Draft, and the anticipation is running high. That said, let’s check out some of the news and rumors from around the league.

The Cavaliers’ Kevin Love opted out of his contract yesterday, which means he’ll be a free agent at the beginning of next month.
This was the expectation; the Cavs plan on Love rejoining the team with a new deal. We’ll see if things work out as planned once things become official.
Love posted 16.4 PPG and 9.7 RPG averages in his 75 games during 2014-15.

In a similar situation, the Pacers’ David West will be opting out of his deal and hitting the free agent market July 1.
Unlike the Cavs’ situation with Love, the Pacers were expecting West to opt into his deal for 2015-16. This will bring up some interesting scenarios for all involved there.
West logged 11.7 PPG and 6.8 RPG averages last year.

The Kings already have at least one player on their shopping list as we head into free agency. They’re very interested in center JaVale McGee, according to sources close to the team.
McGee has played in only 28 games over his past two years, thanks to injury. He posted just 4.6 PPG (a career-low) in his 23 appearances last season.

Good news for the Hawks’ Kyle Korver. He’s expected to be ready for training camp, following surgery on his ankle.
Korver went under the knife late last month, and initially had a three-month timetable.

It’s looking like Mavericks guard Monta Ellis will be opting out of his contract and hitting the free agent market in July.
Dallas likely won’t try to re-sign Ellis, but he’s got a couple of potential suitors in the Heat and Pacers.
Ellis logged 18.9 PPG with a 44.5 percent mark on field goals.

NBA Off-Season Schedule: Now that the season is over, we can spend the rest of our summer prepping for the 2015-16 campaign. Let’s check out a few key dates from the off-season period.
