July 7, 2015
The NBA off-season has been humming along, and there’s plenty to talk about each day. That said, let’s visit with the headlines this morning and see what’s new in the free agency and injury categories.
Ex-Clipper Jordan Farmar will be trying his hand at international basketball. He’s inked a deal with a Tel Aviv team.
Farmar posted 36 games in the 2014-15 season, averaging 4.6 PPG and 38.6 percent from the field.

Drew Gooden showed his stuff once again for the Wizards last year, logging a nice 46 percent mark on his 3-point shooting in the playoffs.
The team is going to be attempting to ink him up for another year on a veteran minimum deal, according to sources. Gooden earned $1.4 million last year and averaged 6.8 PPG with 5.5 RPG.
We’ve got an update on Thunder star Kevin Durant this morning. He made some comments this weekend about his injured right foot, saying he should be ready for basketball-related activities by next month.
Durant is coming off March surgery, his third procedure on his foot. He was initially tagged with a 3-6 month recovery window, so it looks like he’s progressing well.
The Raptors made some news late Sunday night, signing point guard Cory Joseph to a four-year deal.
The Spurs had initially made a qualifying offer to Joseph, but pulled out so they could have the space to sign big fish free agent LaMarcus Aldridge.
The deal is worth a reported $30 million. Joseph posted 79 appearances last year and managed 6.8 PPG , 2.4 RPG and 2.4 APG averages.
