It’s been a whirlwind week around the NBA, and we’re sure to see more free agent signings and injury updates this weekend. That said, let’s take a look at the big headlines this morning.

Nets guard Deron Williams has been trying to get away from the team, but so far he’s still in Brooklyn.
Williams is reportedly lobbying the team to move him to Dallas. He’s still got a couple of years and over $43 million left on his current deal.
The Nets may end up releasing Williams and/or Joe Johnson (whom they’re also trying to move) if talks don’t get moving again.

Yesterday it became official: the Rockets have re-signed free agent guard Patrick Beverley on a multi-year deal.
He posted 10.1 PPG and 3.4 APG last year.

The Lakers grabbed center Roy Hibbert yesterday, and it only took a second-round draft pick to get him from the Pacers.
Hibbert has run into some motivation problems in the past year or so. He posted just 10.6 PPG, 7.1 RPG and 25 minutes per game last season.
He’ll bring a $15.5 million cap hit to L.A.

The Heat inked up guard Gerald Green yesterday. He comes from the Suns.
Green put up only four starts in 74 games in Phoenix last year, but logged 11.9 PPG and 137 3-point makes (a team-high).

Greg Monroe and Khris Middleton are teammates again. They’ll be together on the Bucks this upcoming year.
Middleton posted 13.4 PPG last year, a career-high.
As for Monroe, he inked up a three-year, $50 million deal with Milwaukee. Last year he posted 10.2 RPG in Detroit, a career-high.
