We’ve started out the new week with a pretty busy stretch in the NBA, and we’re sure to see more action in the coming days. In the meantime, let’s check out some of the notable developments in the headlines today.

The Grizzlies made their signing of C Marc Gasol official yesterday, surprising exactly no one. He’s in town on a multi-year deal.
Gasol posted 17.4 PPG and 7.8 RPG in a career year during 2014-15. There was little doubt he was going anywhere as a free agent.

The Warriors inked up guard Leandro Barbosa to a one-year deal yesterday. That contract is worth $2.5 million.
Barbosa posted 7.1 PPG and 1.5 APG in his 66 appearances last year.

The Nets waived F Cory Jefferson yesterday. He was coming off 3.7 PPG and 2.9 RPG averages in his 50 appearances last year.

The Celtics and Nuggets have been entrenched in trade talks recently, centered around F Danilo Gallinari.
Nothing has been worked out just yet, but things look fairly promising. Gallinari logged 12.4 PPG and 3.7 RPG in his 59 appearances on the court during 2014-15.

The Clippers officially signed guard Austin Rivers and center Cole Aldrich yesterday.
Rivers managed 7.1 PPG in L.A. last year, and Aldrich posted 5.5 PPG with 5.5 RPG over in New York with the Knicks.

The Pacers signed their first-round pick Myles Turner yesterday. He was snatched up at No. 11 overall.
Turner put up 10.1 PPG with 6.5 RPG and a nice 2.6 BPG in his sole season at the University of Texas.
