The Orlando Magic invade the Toyota Center to battle the Houston Rockets tonight.
The Magic were able to snap a three-game skid and earn their first win of the season with a 103-94 victory over the Pelicans last night. Evan Fournier led all scorers with 30 points on 12 of 20 shooting, Nikola Vucevic added 22 points and Victor Oladipo had 12 points as the Magic started the game strong before holding off the Pelicans late. On the boards, the Magic outrebounded the Pelicans by 55-46, thanks in large part to Tobias Harris who grabbed a season-high 13 rebounds.

Meanwhile, the Rockets overcame a second half deficit of 14 points to beat the Thunder by 110-105 in a thriller on Monday. James Harden shook off an ugly start to the season with a monster night of 37 points on 12 of 26 shooting while Ty Lawson showed plenty of aggression on his way to 14 points, 11 assists and four steals. Defensively, the Rockets were able to put a lid on Kevin Durant who poured in 20 points in the first half but was held to just 29 points for the game and they were able to force the Thunder into a season-high 24 turnovers. The tide could be turning for the Rockets now.
In ATS trends, the Magic are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games playing on zero days rest and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 against the Western Conference, while the Rockets are 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 against the Eastern Conference.
Head to head, the Magic are 9-2 ATS in the last 11 meetings overall and 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Houston.
The Rockets pulled off an inspiring victory in their last outing but I'm not totally convinced they can do it on a nightly basis yet, so I'm taking the safer option of the Magic with the points.
