The Phoenix Suns invade the Chesapeake Energy Arena to battle the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight.
The Suns had won three of four games before falling to the Pistons in a 100-92 defeat on Friday. Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight led the Suns with 22 points apiece while Markieff Morris chipped in with 18 points, but no other player scored more than six points as the Suns fell behind midway through the first quarter and could never quite catch up. On an off shooting night where the Suns shot just 40.2 percent from the field, they really needed someone to come off the bench and provide some instant offense, but no one could get it going. With the loss, Phoenix drops to 3-3 on the season and 2-2 at home.

Meanwhile, the Thunder enjoyed three straight wins to start the season but have since loss three straight after losing 104-98 to the Bulls on Thursday. Kevin Durant poured in 33 points, Russell Westbrook added 20 points and 10 assists while Serge Ibaka chipped in with 17 points, but the Thunder just couldn't find a way past Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler who scored 29 and 26 points respectively. With the loss, OKC drop to 3-3 on the season and just 1-3 against teams currently above .500.
In ATS trends, the Suns are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games following a loss and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall, while the Thunder are 4-1 ATS in their last five against the Western Conference and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall.
Head to head, the Suns are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings and the Over is 8-1 in the last nine meetings in Oklahoma City.
I really like the Thunder to halt their three-game skid and beat the Suns at home, but the spread just seems a little too high for this matchup. Instead, I'm taking the Suns with the points in what should be a high scoring shootout.
