The Toronto Raptors look to remain red hot after an impressive 5-1 start to the year. DeMar DeRozan is averaging 22.3 points and 4.8 rebounds while Kyle Lowry is averaging 18.8 points and 5.8 assists. Jonas Valanciunas is grabbing 11 rebounds and Cory Joseph is dishing 2.3 assists. The Miami Heat need a win to get a game above a .500 record. The Miami Heat are averaging 96.7 points on 46.3 percent shooting and allowing 92.8 points on 41.1 percent shooting. Dwyane Wade is averaging 20 points and 4.5 assists while Chris Bosh is averaging 15.5 points and 10 rebounds. Hassan Whiteside is grabbing 10.8 rebounds and Goran Dragic is dishing 4.3 assists. The Miami Heat are allowing 28.6 percent shooting from deep and are turning the ball over just 13.8 times. The downside with the Heat is that they’ve scored under 100 points in 13 of their last 20 games. The Heat have won 12 of their last 17 home games.
The Raptors are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 vs. NBA Southeast and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Heat are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 vs. Eastern Conference and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a S.U. loss. The favorite is 7-2 ATS in the last 9 meetings and the road team is 10-4 ATS in the last 14 meetings.
I'm still iffy with the Raptors, as I don't quite think they're as good as their start indicates. I need a larger sample size with Toronto. However, the Heat play better at home and know this is their chance to make a run with so many home games coming up. In what should be a great game, I like Miami to just edge it.
