The Minnesota Timberwolves hit the road to take on the Atlanta Hawks at the Philips Arena tonight.
The Hawks look to stay hot tonight as they go for a league-high eighth straight win. Kent Bazemore scored a game-high 25 points on 10 of 15 shooting, Paul Millsap added 21 points and Al Horford added 14 points as the Hawks battled with the Wizards for three tightly contested quarters before blitzing them with a 39-21 fourth quarter to win by 114-99. Atlanta is on a roll now and there's little to suggest that they could slow down anytime soon as five of their next six games are against teams below .500.

Meanwhile, the Timberwolves were able to avoid a third straight loss with an impressive 102-93 overtime win at Chicago on Saturday. Andrew Wiggins poured in a game-high 31 points while Karl-Anthony Towns and Nemanja Bjelica added 17 points each, but where the Wolves really impressed me was on the defensive end as they were able to hold the Bulls scoreless in overtime. With the win, Minnesota improves to 3-2 on the season and a perfect 3-0 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Wolves are 4-0 ATS in their last four road games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record, while the Hawks are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five games following a win and 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record.
Head to head, the Wolves are 5-1-2 ATS in the last eight meetings in Atlanta and 5-2-1 ATS in the last eight meetings overall.
The Wolves have been seriously impressive on the road so far, but the Hawks are simply rolling and should be able to put away the Wolves when it's all said and done. The spread is a bit hefty, but the Hawks can definitely cover this one.
