NBA Player Updates 11/9: The Latest News from Around the League, Tonight's TV Schedule and More
November 9, 2015
The NBA has a pretty steady night in store for us, following a five-game set yesterday. While we’re waiting on tip-offs, let’s check out our daily wrap-up of the hot players and stats from around the league.
Cavaliers-Pacers: LeBron James had some injury question marks heading into this game, but he was able to shake them off with a 29-point performance against the Pacers in Cleveland.
James suffered through a bruised quad in the 101-97 victory, nailing seven free throws down the stretch to help push the Cavs over the top.
Kevin Love also pitched in with a double-double on 22 points and 19 rebounds, continuing Cleveland’s winning streak.

Lakers-Knicks: Kobe Bryant may have played his final game at Madison Square Garden, and he wasn’t able to walk off the court a winner. The Knicks edged the Lakers 99-95 yesterday, and Bryant finished with 18 points. He shot 6-for-19 in another sketchy effort from the field.
Carmelo Anthony provided 24 points for the Knicks, who also got 14 points from Jose Calderon, Robin Lopez and Langston Galloway.
Suns-Thunder: Oklahoma City came into yesterday’s game with a 3-game losing streak, but were able to bag a victory over the Suns at home.
Kevin Durant put up 32 points and 11 rebounds in the 124-103 win, while Russell Westbrook provided 21 points, 13 assists and six rebounds. Enes Kanter was also instrumental here, putting up 21 points on a great 9-of-10 shooting effort.
The Suns were outmatched here, coughing up 23 turnovers and getting out-rebounded 52-33.
Pistons-Blazers: You wouldn’t believe it from the 120-103 final score, but the Pistons were down 13 points heading into the fourth quarter yesterday against the Trail Blazers. They’d outscore Portland 41-11 in that final period.
Reggie Jackson put up a career-high 40 points here--26 of those coming in that key fourth quarter. Andre Drummond logged 29 points and a whopping 27 rebounds.
The Pistons are off to a nice start at 5-1, their best beginning to a season since 2007-08.
