The Line: Denver Nuggets -2.5 -- Over/Under: 197.5 See the Latest Odds

The Milwaukee Bucks travel to the Pepsi Center to take on the Denver Nuggets tonight.

The Nuggets have won just two of their seven games to start the season but they're coming off a nice 108-104 win over the Blazers which halted a two-game skid. JJ Hickson led the Nuggets with 19 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks, Kenneth Faried added 17 points while Emmanuel Mudiay had 18 points as the Nuggets won their first home game after three attempts. It was an important win for the Nuggets as the young core of the team really played with confidence and aggression down the stretch, especially the rookie Mudiay who scored four points and made a crucial block on Damian Lillard in the last minute of the game.

Meanwhile, the Bucks were riding a four-game win streak until their momentum hit a wall when they lost to the Celtics by 99-83 last night.  Greg Monroe continued his strong start to the season with a team-high 17 points, 14 rebounds and four assists while Giannis Antetokounmpo added 16 points but a 16-0 run by the Celtics late in the third quarter flipped the game on its head. Michael Carter-Williams missed his fourth straight game with a strained left ankle and they'll need him back soon as the Bucks play their next five on the road.

In ATS trends, the Bucks are 2-7 ATS in their last nine games following a loss and 2-11 ATS in their last 13 against the Western Conference, while the Nuggets are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games following a win.

Head to head, the Bucks are 8-21-1 ATS in the last 30 meetings and 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Denver.

The Nuggets will take a lot from their narrow win last night but I actually prefer the Bucks who have clearly been the better team so far this season.
