NBA Player Updates 11/13: The Latest News from Around the League, Tonight's TV Schedule and More
November 13, 2015
The NBA is kicking off its heavy weekend schedule tonight with a whopping 11 games on tap. While we’re waiting on those tip-offs, let’s check out some of the notable players and stats in the news this morning.
Heat-Jazz: Down in Miami, the Heat were able to outlast the Jazz 92-91, thanks to 25 points by Chris Bosh and 17 points by Tyler Johnson. Goran Dragic would add 14 points and Hassan Whiteside snagged 14 rebounds in Miami’s third straight win.
On the other side, Derrick Favors posted a strong game for the Jazz with 25 points, 12 rebounds and seven blocks. Gordon Hayward doubled up on 24 points and 11 rebounds.

Warriors-Timberwolves: The defending champs seem like they can’t be stopped. Golden State logged their 10th straight win, making them the fourth championship team to open the following year with at least 10 victories--it’s also a franchise record to start the season.
Last night’s 129-116 win over Minnesota was highlighted by Stephen Curry’s 46 points, 21 of which came in the first quarter. He got hot again from 3-point range, snagging 8-of-13 overall. Draymond Green put up 23 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds.
Suns-Clippers: Brandon Knight matched his career-high in points last night against the Clippers, putting up 37 in a 118-104 victory.
Eric Bledsoe logged 26 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists in a big evening for the Phoenix backcourt.
This was an interesting game personnel-wise, as Chris Paul (groin) and J.J. Redick (back) didn’t play. Blake Griffin was tossed after two technical fouls in the first half, which left L.A. dangerously undermanned.
Meanwhile, Knight was hot from the field, going 6-of-10 from 3-point range.
