November 20, 2015
The NBA is kicking off the weekend right, with 11 matchups on tonight’s schedule. While we’re waiting on those tip-offs, let’s check out some of the notable players and situations out there in the meantime.
Heat-Kings: The Kings were without star DeMarcus Cousins last night (one-game suspension), and it showed. The Heat were able to power to a 116-109 win, with Dwyane Wade putting up 24 points. He had been averaging just 10.8 PPG and 32.7 shooting over his previous four games.
Chris Bosh logged 23 points with 11 rebounds for a double-double, while Tyler Johnson put up 19 points of his own. The Heat have won four of their last five outings.
As for Cousins, he was suspended for a forearm hit to the Hawks’ Al Horford on Wednesday. He’s averaging 30.8 PPG over his last five.

Cavs-Bucks: The Cavaliers got back to their winning ways last night, posting a 115-100 win over the Bucks in Cleveland. LeBron James put up 27 points, while Kevin Love managed a double-double on 22 points and 15 rebounds. The team came in with two straight losses and needed a spark.
J.R. Smith managed 18 points here, while Anderson Varejao put up nine. The Cavs are now 9-3 on the year, which is best in the East.
Warriors-Clippers: Last night’s marquis matchup featured the Warriors and the Clippers, and it certainly delivered on all the pregame hype.
Golden State was down by 23 in the first half in this one, but rallied for a 124-117 victory. Stephen Curry put up 40 points, and the team shot 8-of-9 on 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to bag their 13th straight win. Klay Thompson put up 25 points, and Harrison Barnes had 21.
The Warriors are now one of just four teams in NBA history to open up a season at 13-0.
