The Los Angeles Clippers hit the road to take on the Portland Trailblazers at the Moda Center tonight.
The Clippers are in need of a win after losing three of their last four games including a heartbreaking 124-117 loss to the Warriors last night despite leading by as many as 23 points. Chris Paul returned from a groin injury to pour in 35 points with eight assists while Blake Griffin added 27 points, but a red hot start and a massive lead still wasn't enough to hold down the league's best team. The Clippers must have felt that they had the game all locked up after three quarters but the Warriors just flipped a switch and shut out the Clippers with a 22-5 run to close out the game. LA is now 6-5 on the season and 5-2 at home.

Meanwhile, the Trailblazers have lost seven straight and are coming off a disappointing 108-103 overtime loss at Houston. The Blazers must have felt a little unlucky when they found out about McHale's firing because they knew they'd get an extra motivated Rockets team and things just went from bad to worse after the Rockets' Corey Brewer made a lucky running 3-pointer to force overtime where James Harden would score all of the Rockets' nine points. Damian Lillard led the team with 23 points but shot just six of 19 while CJ McCollum added 19 points with six assists as the Blazers fell to 4-9 on the season and 2-6 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Clippers are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven games playing on zero days rest and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall, while the Blazers are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall and 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games following a loss.
Head to head, the Clippers are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings in Portland and the road team is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings overall.
The Blazers are always tough to beat at the Moda Center, but the Clippers will be eager to make up for last night's demoralising loss so I'm picking them to bounce back and win by single digits on the road.
