The Miami Heat play host to the winless Philadelphia 76ers tonight at the AmericanAirlines Arena.
The 76ers are still without a win after 13 games and that streak was in no danger of being broken during last night's 113-88 loss at Charlotte. Nerlens Noel led the team in scoring with 16 points on seven of nine shooting in his first game coming off the bench, while Nik Stauskas added 15 points, but this game was over by halftime as the 76ers fell behind 62-41 going into the break. The Sixers are now within four losses of matching last season's franchise-worst start and they could very well break that record as their next five games are all on the road.

Meanwhile, the Heat have won four of their last five games and are coming off a 116-109 win over the Kings. Dwyane Wade led the scoring with 24 points on 10 of 23 shooting while Chris Bosh added 23 points on eight of 12 shooting, but with Goran Dragic and Luol Deng struggling on offense, the Heat received a major spark off the bench from Tyler Johnson who scored a season-high 19 points. Amare Stoudemire played just his second game of the season Thursday against the Kings and scored 10 points in just eight minutes off the bench which is a great start for a player working his way into the rotation. With the win, Miami is now 7-4 on the season and 6-2 at home.
In ATS trends, the 76ers are 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall and 0-5 ATS in their last five against the Eastern Conference, while the Heat are 6-2 ATS in their last eight against a team with a losing record and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 against the Eastern Conference.
Head to head, the road team is 5-0-1 ATS in the last six meetings and the 76ers are 4-1-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Miami.
The Heat haven't exactly been blowing teams away this season, but the 76ers fail to cover the spread no matter how hefty it is, so I'm taking the Heat to win and win big.
