The Washington Wizards travel to the Time Warner Cable Arena to battle the Charlotte Hornets tonight.
The Wizards were starting to heat up with three straight wins, but their momentum went to a screeching halt last night with a 123-106 loss to the Pacers. Gary Neal scored a season-high 23 points off the bench, Bradley Beal added 20 points and John Wall had 18, but it was never going to be enough against the Pacers who just couldn't miss a basket. Paul George sunk seven 3-pointers on his way to 40 points, while CJ Miles made eight 3-pointers for 32 points. Defensively, the Wizards certainly weren't at their best, but whether they contested the shot or not, the Pacers just wouldn't miss, sending the Wizards to 6-5 on the season and 3-3 at home.

Meanwhile, the Hornets have won four of their last five and are going for a fourth straight win after sneaking past the Kings in a 127-122 overtime thriller on Monday. Kemba Walker exploded for a season-high 39 points on 16 on 23 shooting, Nicolas Batum added 18 points and eight assists while Jeremy Lin added 14 points as the Hornets improved to 8-6 on the season and an impressive 6-1 at home where they've their last six.
In ATS trends, the Wizards are 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games playing on zero days rest and 1-7 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a winning record, while the Hornets are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record and 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight home games.
Head to head, the Wizards are 1-6 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and the under is 7-1 in the last eight meetings.
These two teams match up quite evenly on paper, but looking at the ATS trends, there's no doubt that the Hornets hold the edge in this one especially coming off an inspiring overtime win.
