The Minnesota Timberwolves play host to the Atlanta Hawks tonight at the Target Center.
The Timberwolves have lost six of their last eight games overall, but avoided catastrophe with a 100-95 comeback victory over the winless 76ers on Monday. Andrew Wiggins dragged the Wolves back from a double digit deficit by scoring 32 points on 10 of 21 shooting while the rest of the team struggled. Ricky Rubio and Kevin Garnett scored just eight points each while Kevin Martin added just 11 points as the Wolves turned to Wiggins early and often and he delivered. With the much-needed win, Minnesota imrpoved to 6-8 on the season and 1-6 at home.

Meanwhile, the Hawks have also lost four of their last six but looked pretty good in last night's 121-97 win over the Celtics. Paul Millsap led the way with 25 points on 10 of 14 shooting, Jeff Teague added 16 points and Kyle Korver chipped in with 16 points as the Hawks shot a sizzling 56.3 percent from the field and 12 of 24 from the 3-point line. The Hawks actually had to battle for three weeks until the fourth quarter where they exploded for 40 points to improve to 10-6 on the season and 6-3 at home.
In ATS trends, the Hawks are 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall and 0-4 ATS in their last four games against a team with a losing record, while the Wolves are 2-15 ATS in their last 17 home games and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games against a team above .600.
Head to head, the Hawks are 2-6-1 ATS in the last nine meetings overall and 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings in Minnesota.
The Hawks have been going through some struggles over the last couple weeks, but they certainly came back to life with their big win last night and I'm expecting another strong performance against a Wolves team with just one home win on the season.
