We’ve got a big evening of NBA action to look forward to in the coming hours, with nine games on the schedule. There’s also plenty to talk about this morning, so let’s visit with the headlines in our daily wrap-up.
Suns-Grizzlies: Over at FedEx Forum in Memphis yesterday, the Grizzlies were able to outlast the Suns in a tight 95-93 victory. Memphis was outscored 27-24 in the third, but fought back for a 28-25 edge in the eventual win.
Marc Gasol led the way with 22 points, making 9-of-17 from the floor and adding eight rebounds. Zach Randolph hauled in nine boards and scored 10 points.
The victory moves Memphis to 12-9 on the year; Phoenix falls to 8-13 thus far.

Warriors-Nets: The Warriors kept their dream season going last night against the Nets in Brooklyn, posting a 114-98 victory to move to 22-0.
Golden State had trouble pulling away from Brooklyn until late in the game, with Stephen Curry scoring 16 of his 28 total points in the third quarter. Curry missed his first three free throws, a very rare occurrence for him.
Draymond Green also had a great night here, with 22 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Klay Thompson had 21 points.
Kings-Thunder: Over in Oklahoma City last night, the Thunder were able to outlast the Kings on the strength of Russell Westbrook’s triple-double. He scored 19 points, 10 assists and 11 rebounds in the 98-95 victory.
Kevin Durant had an up-and-down outing. He committed 10 turnovers but ended up with 20 points and nine rebounds. He hit a key jumper and two late free throws to seal the win for the Thunder.
Lakers-Pistons: The Pistons are looking pretty good lately, even if last night’s win was against the lowly Lakers.
Detroit put up a 111-91 victory in Auburn Hills, with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scoring 22 points. Andre Drummond would double up on 18 points and 15 rebounds.
This was the Pistons’ fourth straight win and Kobe Bryant’s last visit to the Motor City. Bryant missed his first nine shots as his statistical woes continued.
