The Boston Celtics travel to The Palace to take on the Detroit Pistons tonight.
The Celtics were travelling well with three wins in four outings before losing the Cavaliers in a 89-77 defeat last night. Avery Bradley led the scoring with 17 points, Jae Crowder added 14 points but Isaiah Thomas struggled mightily, shooting just three of 15 for his 12 points as the Celtics shot a miserable 32.2 percent from the field. The Celtics were winning the battle until midway through the third quarter where the Cavs went on a game-winning 17-2 run with some strong defense and a barrage of threes. With the loss, Boston falls to 14-11 overall and 7-6 at home.

Meanwhile, the Pistons have won six of their last nine games but just had their two-game win streak snapped with a 105-103 overtime loss to the Clippers on Monday. Reggie Jackson led the team with 34 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists, Andre Drummond added 20 points while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had 19 as the Pistons fell just short of a third straight win thanks to a clutch three-pointer from the Clippers' Jamal Crawford in the final seconds of the game. Detroit is now 14-12 overall and 9-4 at home.
In ATS trends, the Celtics are 5-0 ATS in their last five road games and 6-0-1 ATS in their last seven games overall, while the Pistons are 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine games overall and 24-9-1 ATS in their last 34 home games.
Head to head, the Celtics are 4-1-1 ATS in the last six meetings overall and 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings in Detroit.
The Celtics have quietly been one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference these past couple of weeks, but the Pistons have been even better and will be eager to bounce back after such a tough loss in their last outing.
