NBA Player Updates 12/18: The Latest News from Around the League, Tonight's TV Schedule and More
December 18, 2015
There were only three games in the NBA last night, but we’ve got a whopping dozen to look forward to this evening. In the meantime, let’s check out some of the notable players and stats out there right now.
Hornets-Raptors: Linsanity was alive and well in Charlotte last night, as Jeremy Lin put up a season-high 35 points in just his second start with the Hornets. It took overtime to get there, but Charlotte posted a 109-99 victory.
Kemba Walker put up 27 points in the victory, while P.J. Hairston managed 14--none more crucial than a big 3-pointer in overtime with 1:30 left.
On the other side, DeMar DeRozan put up 31 points to lead the Raptors.

Cavaliers-Thunder: The first of last night’s two primetime games featured some unexpected drama, as Cleveland’s LeBron James ran into the wife of PGA star Jason Day while going after a loose ball, sending her to the hospital.
Ellie Day was treated and released, so it looks like the scary moment worked out okay.
As for the game, James put up 33 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds in a 104-100 Cavaliers win.
Russell Westbrok had 27 points and Kevin Durant added 25 on the other side. OKC came into this one as winners of six straight.
Lakers-Rockets: The nightcap of NBA action last night featured the Rockets and Lakers squaring off in Los Angeles. The Rockets didn’t have to worry too much here, as they were able to coast to a 107-87 victory.
James Harden put up 25 points, while Dwight Howard doubled up on 16 points and 15 rebounds.
Kobe Bryant put up 22, and perhaps most notably recorded a dunk for the first time this year. He’d score 10 points in the third quarter alone.
