The Dallas Mavericks travel to Barclays Center to battle the Brooklyn Nets tonight.
The Mavericks have lost four of their last six and are coming off a disappointing 103-99 loss at Toronto. Dirk Nowitzki led the scoring with 20 points while Wesley Matthews added 15, but no other Mavs player finished in double figures as the Mavs found themselves running uphill all game after falling behind by 32-16 after the first quarter. Deron Williams left with a strained left hamstring in the third quarter and did not return which is a major hit to the Mavs who fall to 16-13 overall and 8-8 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Nets were able to snap a five-game skid with a hard-fought 105-102 win at Chicago on Monday. Brook Lopez led the scoring with 21 points and 12 rebounds, Thaddeus Young added 16 points while Wayne Ellington had 13 off the bench as the Nets snuck past the Bulls. Coming off an embarrassing 100-85 loss to the struggling Timberwolves, the Nets needed to bounce back and they were able to beat the Bulls but they're still only 8-20 on the season and 2-12 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Mavs are 5-0 ATS in their last five games playing on zero days rest and 4-1 ATS in their last five road games, while the Nets are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games following a win and 15-6 ATS in their last 21 games overall.
Head to head, the Mavs are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Brooklyn, but I can smell a bit of an upset here as the Nets looked really good in their last outing and might just be good enough to take advantage of a shorthanded Mavs outfit.
