NBA Player Updates 1/3: The Latest News from Around the League, Tonight's TV Schedule and More

We’re coming out of a pretty busy NBA Saturday, and cruising toward five more games starting this afternoon. In the meantime, let’s check out some of the notable players and stats in our daily wrap-up.
Nets-Celtics: Brook Lopez was on his game yesterday in Boston. He scored a season-high 30 points and hauled in 13 rebounds. That effort helped the Nets to a 100-97 road victory.
Joe Johnson put up 20 points, while Thaddeus Young had 16 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double.
It was just the Nets’ third win in their past 11 games.
On the other side, Isaiah Thomas was the high man for Boston with 24 points.

Suns-Kings: Yesterday’s Sacramento-Phoenix game was a milestone for Kings coach George Karl. He’s now officially tied with Phil Jackson with 1,155 victories--that’s fifth all-time in NBA history.
As for the game, DeMarcus Cousins put up 32 points and nine rebounds here, helping the Kings to a 142-119 win.
The Suns have now lost eight in a row.
Thunder-Hornets: Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook put in their usual big lines for the Thunder last night, helping the team to a 109-90 win over the Hornets.
Durant had 29 points with 11 rebounds, while Westbrook scored 16. They got some help from the bench in this one as well, with Enes Kanter and Anthony Morrow scoring 12 each.
That’s the Thunder’s fourth straight win and 10th straight over the Hornets.
Cavaliers-Magic: The Cavs didn’t have to do much to overcome the Magic last night in Cleveland, emerging with a 104-79 victory.
LeBron James put up 29 points in this one, which was officially Cleveland’s 13th straight victory over the Magic.
This was the third win over Orlando this year for Cleveland, and they were ahead by as many as 31 points in the third.
Kyrie Irving posted 13 points and Kevin Love had 10 points and 13 rebounds.
