The Los Angeles Lakers play host to the Phoenix Suns tonight at Staples Center.
The Suns have been seriously struggling lately as they've lost eight straight which includes an ugly 142-119 loss at Sacramento last night. Brandon Knight scored 23 points, Devin Booker added 21 points while TJ Warren had 19, but it was never going to be enough as they allowed the Kings to shoot a ridiculous 61 percent from the field for the game. Tyson Chandler started at center but was ejected after arguing a foul in the third quarter so without a center in the paint, the Suns would go on to allow a total of 83 points in the second half. With the loss, Phoenix drops to 12-24 on the season and 4-14 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Lakers are coming off a second straight win after beating the 76ers by 93-84 on Friday. Louis Williams led the scoring with 24 points, Jordan Clarkson added 19 while Julius Randle had 15 points off the bench as the Lakers rallied late to avoid a series sweep of the 76ers. Kobe Bryant sat out the game with a shoulder injury and while he said that he is feeling better, he remains in doubt for tonight's game against the Suns.
In ATS trends, the Suns are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following a loss and 1-5 ATS in their last six road games, while the Lakers are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall and 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games following a win.
Head to head, the Suns are 4-0-1ATS in the last five meetings overall and 3-1-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Los Angeles.
You expect the Suns to bounce back after such a poor performance in their last outing, but I'd rather have a play on the Lakers who have looked good in their last two wins.
