The Denver Nuggets travel to the FedEx Forum to battle the Memphis Grizzlies tonight.
The Nuggets will be looking to make it back to back wins after snapping a six-game losing streak with a 78-74 win at Minnesota on Wednesday. Danilo Gallinari led the team with 20 points while Jusuf Nurkic added 15 points off the bench as the Nuggets won despite shooting just 36 percent from the field. I'd say that they won this game with hard-nosed defense, but this really was just one of the ugliest games you'll ever see, with both teams missing open shots and layups. Despite the win, Denver is still only 13-23 on the season and 8-12 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Grizzlies have won three of their last five games but are coming off a poor showing, losing to the Thunder by 112-94 on Wednesday. Mario Chalmers led the scoring with 23 points off the bench while Matt Barnes had 13, but this game was over by halftime as the Thunder stormed out of the gates to lead by 56-36 going into the break. Marc Gasol scored just eight points while Courtney Lee finished scoreless as he filled in for Mike Conley who sat out with a sore achilles tendon. With the loss, Memphis falls to 19-18 on the season and 8-12 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Nuggets are 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games against a team with a winning home record and 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 road games overall, while the Grizzlies are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games and 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight games following a loss.
Head to head, the Nuggets are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall but the home team is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings.
The Nuggets are coming off a much needed win in their last outing, but I'm predicting that they'll get back to losing as the Grizzlies will want to atone for their poor showing in their last time out. Take the Grizzlies to win and cover the spread at home over a struggling Nuggets team that's dealing with injuries.
