The battle of the boroughs resumes as the New York Knicks take on the Brooklyn Nets tonight at the Barclays Center.
The Knicks will be gunning for a third straight win tonight after taking down the Celtics in a 120-114 win last night. Kristaps Porzingis led the scoring with 26 points, Arron Afflalo had 24 points while Carmelo Anthony added 17 points before leaving the game with a sprained ankle as the Knicks turned it on late to sneak past the Celtics at home. With the win, New York returns to .500 with a record of 20-20 on the season and 11-8 at home. Anthony is likely to remained sidelined for tonight's game and it is uncertain when he'll be able to return.

Meanwhile, the Nets have lost eight of their last 10 games and their last five straight after getting routed by the Spurs in a 106-79 defeat on Monday. Brook Lopez led the team in scoring with 18 points while Joe Johnson added 16 points and Thomas Robinson had 10, but no other player finished in double figures as the Nets were simply no match for one of the hottest teams in the league in the Spurs. With the loss, Brooklyn drops to 10-28 on the season and 6-14 at home.
In ATS trends, the Knicks are 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a win and 6-0 ATS in their last six games overall, while the Nets are 0-5 ATS in their last five home games and 0-5 ATS in their last five games overall.
Head to head, the Knicks are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and 10-4-1 ATS in the last 15 meetings in Brooklyn.
Even with the Knicks playing without their leading scorer in Anthony, I can't feel too good about taking the struggling Nets given the form they're currently in. This could be a close one, but I'm taking the Knicks to take care of business and win on the road tonight.
