The Brooklyn Nets invade the American Airlines Center to take on the Dallas Mavericks tonight.
The Nets have lost six of their last seven games and are coming off a tough 102-98 loss to the Heat. Andrea Bargnani led the team in scoring with 20 points off the bench, Joe Johnson added 15 points while four other players finished in double figures, but it still wasn't enough to get past the Heat who had Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh who finished with 27 points each. It was quite a spirited effort from a team who has been losing by double digits on a nightly basis, but the loss drops Brooklyn down to 12-34 overall and 8-18 at home.

Meanwhile, the Mavericks were looking for an encore performance after beating the Lakers in a thriller on Tuesday, but they had a meeting with the Warriors on the following night and things didn't turn out too well. Chandler Parsons had a nice game of 23 points while JJ Barea finished the game with a flurry of layups to finish with 14 points off the bench, but it was never going to be enough against the Warriors who were led by 45 points from Klay Thompson.
In ATS trends, the Nets are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 road games and 2-10-1 ATS in their last 13 games overall, while the Mavs are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games following a loss of more than 10 points.
Head to head, the Nets are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings in Dallas and the road team is 7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings overall.
You couldn't really back either team with much confidence the way they've been playing lately, but the Mavs do have a good record at home and coming off a double digit loss, so I'm leaning towards them taking care of business at home against the struggling Nets.
