NBA Player Updates 1/31: The Latest News from Around the League, Tonight's TV Schedule and More

We have another seven games coming up in the NBA today, so it should serve as a nice distraction for us basketball fans. Right now, let’s take our daily look at the headlines and key players out there in our morning wrap-up.
Warriors-Sixers: The Warriors were able to take care of the Sixers yesterday, but it was a lot closer in the end than most people thought it would be.
Golden State outscored Philly 34-28 in the first and 39-26 in the second, but both teams put up just 18 in the third. The Sixers outscored the defending champs 33-17 in the fourth for a narrow 108-105 loss.
Harrison Barnes hit the game-winning 3-pointer with 0.2 seconds left, preventing the Warriors from blowing a 24-point lead. Klay Thompson put up 32 points and Steph Curry had 23.

Raptors-Pistons: The Raptors are rolling right now. They’ve won their last 11 straight, following a 111-107 victory yesterday against the Pistons.
Kyle Lowry managed 18 points while Bismack Biyombo put up 12 points and 13 assists. It’s a franchise-best win streak for Toronto.
As for the Pistons, Brandon Jennings led the team on 22 points.
Cavs-Spurs: The Cavaliers got a very big win over the Spurs last night, cruising to a 117-103 result over the visiting Spurs.
LeBron James posted 29 points here, while Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving scored 21 each. This was the team’s fourth win in a row with coach Tyronn Lue.
This was also the team’s first win over an elite-class team. They were 0-5 against the Spurs, Warriors and Bulls coming in.
Wizards-Rockets: The Wizards had dropped three straight coming into last night’s game against the Rockets, but prevailed for a 123-122 victory.
John Wall just missed a tripe-double on 19 points, 13 assists and eight rebounds. Ramon Sessions added 17 off the bench.
On the other side, James Harden put up another strong performance with 40 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds. The Rockets have lost three in a row.
