The New Orleans Pelicans invade the Chesapeake Energy Arena to battle the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight.
The Pelicans were able to snap a four-game skid on Monday with an easy win over the Timberwolves and they were able to back up that performance last night with a 100-96 win over the Jazz. Jrue Holiday led the team with 21 points and nine assists off the bench while Anthony Davis chipped in with 19 points as the Pelicans turned it on late to sneak past the Jazz who were riding a season-high seven-game win streak. The Pelicans haven't been playing consistent basketball lately as their record suggests, but they were able to put it all together and win one for their former coach Monty Williams who is dealing with the death of his wife, Ingrid Williams.

Meanwhile, the Thunder had their five-game win streak snapped with a loss to the Warriors but immediately bounced back with a 122-106 rout of the Suns on Monday. Kevin Durant poured in 32 points on 11 of 21 shooting while Russell Westbrook added 29 points and eight assists as the Thunder pulled away from the Suns late to improve to 39-14 on the season and 15-9 on the road where they've won three of their last four.
In ATS trends, the Pelicans are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games against a team with a winning record, while the Thunder are 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games and 2-7 ATS in their last nine games overall.
Head to head, the Pelicans are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings overall and 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings in Oklahoma City.
The Pelicans are coming off back to back wins, but I still can't back them against this Thunder team in hot form but still flying under the radar. Take Oklahoma City to pull away late and win this one by double digits at home.
