The Los Angeles Lakers pay a visit to the Chicago Bulls tonight at the United Center.
The Lakers remain mired at the bottom of the Western Conference standings with a record of 11-45 on the season, but that didn't stop them from almost pulling off a major upset in their last outing when they took it to the Spurs and lost by just 119-113. Kobe Bryant shook off a dislocated finger injury and finished with a team-high 25 points, Louis Williams added 21 points while Jordan Clarkson had 20 but the Lakers just couldn't get over the hump against the Spurs despite pouring in 64 points in the second half. Los Angeles has now lost 14 of their last 16 games including three straight on the road.

Meanwhile, the Bulls were going through some struggles of their own before snapping a five-game losing streak with a surprise 116-106 upset of the red-hot Raptors in their last outing. Derrick Rose had a strong outing of 26 points and six assists while Pau Gasol added 18 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists, but the performance of the night goes to Doug McDermott who poured in a career-high 30 points on 13 of 17 shooting off the bench to put the Bulls over the top. With the win, Chiacgo improves to 28-26 on the season which has them in eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings.
In ATS trends, the Lakers are 5-0 ATS in their last five road games and 6-0 ATS in their last six games overall, while the Bulls are 6-14 ATS in their last 20 games overall and 1-5 ATS in their last six home games.
Head to head, the Lakers are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Chicago but the underdog is 17-8 ATS in the last 25 meetings overall.
With or without Jimmy Butler, the Bulls really shouldn't have any problem beating the Lakers by double digits, but looking at the form guide, I have to say that I'm leaning towards the Lakers to cover yet another spread as they've done in their last six games overall.
