The Minnesota Timberwolves invade the Air Canada Center to take on the Toronto Raptors tonight.
The Timberwolves had lost three of four and were in danger of losing a third straight on Monday, but instead they were able to put it all together and beat the Celtics by 124-122 in an upset. Karl-Anthony Towns led the team with 28 points, 13 rebounds and four assists, Andrew Wiggins and Gorgui Dieng added 17 points each while three more players finished in double figures as the Wolves took down the in-form Celtics in a high-scoring shootout. Minnesota is still mired near the bottom of the league with a record of 18-39 on the season, but they've actually won four of their last seven games now which includes wins over the Clippers, Bulls, Raptors and now the Celtics.

Meanwhile, the Raptors have won five of their last seven games and will be looking to stay hot after making light work of the Knicks in a 122-95 win on Monday. Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan led the team with 22 points each while Jonas Valanciunas added 20 points in just 25 minutes as the Raptors stormed out to a double digit lead early in the game and never took their foot off the gas. With the easy win, Toronto improves to 37-18 on the season and just three games behind Cleveland who currently sit atop the Eastern Conference standings.
In ATS trends, the Timberwolves are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a winning record and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following a win, while the Raptors are 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a team below .400.
Head to head, the Wolves are 6-20 ATS in the last 26 meetings overall and 2-9 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Toronto.
The Wolves have suddenly struck a rich vein of form over their last seven games which includes a win over the Raptors, but this is a game the Raptors really should win and I can't see them missing on this chance to move one step closer to the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
