Marcin Gortat put up 21 points and 11 rebounds here as the Wizards put things away in the second half. It was their season-high fourth straight win at home.

Kings-Nuggets: The Kings held a 17-point lead in the second half last night in Denver, but blew it all. They were able to hold on for a 114-110 victory, however, on the strength of DeMarcus Cousins’ 39 points. He bagged a pair of free throws with 48.3 seconds left that helped the Kings hold on.
In all, Cousins had eight of the final 13 points for Sacramento and had a couple of big steals down the stretch.

Jazz-Rockets: Houston and Utah went into overtime in Salt Lake City last night, with the Jazz coming out on top 117-114.
Gordon Hayward put up 28 points here, and the victory moves his team into the No. 8 slot in the West.
James Harden scored 42 points here, but the Rockets still fell out of contention with a 28-29 record.

Blazers-Nets: Over in Portland, the Trail Blazers continued their strong play last night against the Nets. Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum each bagged 34 points here in a 112-104 win, the sixth straight W for Portland.
Lillard is the first player to score at least 30 points in five straight since Geoff Petrie did it in the 1970-71 season, which was the first year of the Blazers’ existence.
Brook Lopez had 36 points and 10 rebounds for the Nets.
