The Indiana Pacers play host to the Charlotte Hornets tonight at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The Hornets have been in strong form with seven wins in their last nine outings, but they'll be looking to bounce back tonight after having their five-game win streak snapped by the Cavaliers in a 114-103 loss on Wednesday. Kemba Walker led the team with 20 points and six assists while Frank Kaminsky added 16 points off the bench, but while the Hornets were matching the Cavs blow for blow, they let the game slip in a 40-28 second quarter which had them running uphill for the rest of the game. With the loss, Charlotte drops to 29-27 on the season which is good enough for eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Meanwhile, the Pacers have won eight of their last 12 games and three of their last four after Wednesday's 108-105 win over the Knicks. Myles Turner continued his solid form with 24 points on 10 of 20 shooting while Monta Ellis continued to struggle with just eight points and seven assists, but Paul George finished the game with a game-high 27 points, 25 of which came in the second half. With the win, Indiana improves to 31-26 overall which is currently good enough for fifth place in the crowded Eastern Conference standings.
In ATS trends, the Hornets are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall, while the Pacers are 19-9-1 ATS in the last 29 games against a team with a winning record and 1-4-1 ATS in their last six home games.
Head to head, the Hornets are 5-1-1 ATS in the last seven meetings but the home team is 4-1-1 ATS in the last six meetings.
These two teams last met just a couple of weeks ago and it was the Hornets who won by 117-95 behind 25 points from Walker and a combined 54 points from the reserves and while I'm expecting a closer contest, I'm still sticking with the in-form Hornets who have been flying under the radar lately.
