The Brooklyn Nets invade the Pepsi Center to take on the Denver Nuggets tonight.
The Nets have lost six of their last 11 games and are in danger of losing a third straight after losing to the Lakers by 107-101 on Tuesday. Brook Lopez led the scoring with 23 points, Thaddeus Young added 19 points and 15 rebounds while Bojan Bogdanovic had 18 points but it still wasn't enough as the Nets had no answer for the Lakers' rookie D'Angelo Russell who torched them for eight 3-pointers to finish with a career-high 39 points. With the loss, Brooklyn falls to 17-44 on the season which is only good enough for second last in the Eastern Conference and fourth last in the league.

Meanwhile, the Nuggets haven't been playing much better than the Nets but they were good enough to beat the Lakers by 117-107 on Wednesday. DJ Augustin led the team with 26 points off the bench, Emmanuel Mudiay added 22 points and seven assists while Gary Harris had 16 points as the Nuggets won just their second game in seven outings. Danilo Gallinari sat out the game with a serious ankle injury and could be shut down for the rest of the season and Kenneth Faried could miss tonight's game after playing just 18 minutes on Wednesday while dealing with soreness in his lower back.
In ATS trends, the Nets are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall, while the Nuggets are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall and 7-2 ATS in their last nine against the Eastern Conference.
Head to head, the Nets are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings overall and 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Denver.
This would normally be a spot for me to take the Nuggets at home where they're always a tricky team to beat, but the Nets have fared well against the Nuggets in recent seasons against the spread and should be good enough with the Nuggets shorthanded.
