The Portland Trailblazers and the Detroit Pistons do battle tonight at The Palace.
The Trailblazers were absolutely surging with 14 wins in 16 games, but they'll now be looking to steady the ship after consecutive road losses. On Friday against the Raptors, Damian Lillard poured in a ridiculous 50 points, while CJ McCollum added 24 points but it still wasn't enough as they would go on to lose by 117-115 at Toronto. Portland is now 33-30 on the season which puts them in seventh place in the Western Conference standings, just half a game behind Dallas who occupy the sixth spot.

Meanwhile, the Pistons are in danger of falling out of the playoff picture as they've lost their last two games to fall half a game behind the eighth-placed Bulls in the Eastern standings. In last night's 102-89 loss to the Knicks, Andre Drummond had a double-double of 21 points and 16 rebounds, Tobias Harris added 18 points while Steve Blake had 13 points, but no other player finished in double figures as the Pistons fell behind by 57-42 at going into halftime and never threatened to come back.
In ATS trends, the Trailblazers are 7-1 ATS in their last eight road games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall, while the Pistons are 4-0 ATS in their last four games playing on zero days rest and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall.
Head to head, the Blazers are 11-4 ATS in the last 15 meetings in Detroit but the home team is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings overall.
The Pistons really need to get a move on if they want to get back into the playoff picture, but I can't see these Trailblazers losing three games in a row, especially with Lillard in such rare form.
