The Brooklyn Nets and the Toronto Raptors duke it out tonight at the Air Canada Center.
The Nets have lost three of their last four games and will be licking their wounds after getting blown off the court by the Timberwolves in a 132-118 loss on Saturday. Markel Brown led the team with 23 points off the bench, Sean Kilpatrick added 19 points while Shane Larkin had 18 but the Nets played no defense to speak of and it allowed the Timberwolves to shot a franchise-record 68.4 percent from the field. You expect teams like the Nets to start tanking as they look ahead towards the upcoming lottery, but you just don't see many teams shot almost 70 percent from the field.

Meanwhile, the Raptors have won six of their last eight games but will be disappointed from their last outing, a 113-107 home loss to the Rockets on Sunday. Luis Scola led led the team with 21 points in just 20 minutes, DeMar DeRozan added 19 points and seven assists while Kyle Lowry had 17 points and nine assists, but it still wasn't enough to get past the Rockets who were led by James Harden's 40 points and 14 assists. Toronto has been one of the best defensive teams all season but they just lost control in the fourth quarter where the Rockets outscored them by 36-22 to steal the victory. With the loss, Toronto falls to 41-20 which leaves them 2.5 games behind Cleveland for the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
In ATS trends, the Nets are 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a loss of more than 10 points and 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games, while the Raptors are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a losing record and 7-1 ATS in their last eight against the NBA Atlantic.
The Raptors really let a win slip away against the Rockets on Sunday, but I have full confidence that they'll bounce back with style and beat the Nets by double digits at home.
