The Denver Nuggets travel to the AmericanAirlines Arena to take on the Miami Heat on Monday.
The Nuggets have been out of the playoff picture for a while now, but that hasn't stopped them from playing some of their best basketball of the season. Gary Harris, Darrell Arthur, Jusuf Nurkic and DJ Augustin all scored 17 points each as the Nuggets rallied late to beat the Wizards by 116-100 on Saturday for the team's fourth straight win and fifth in six games. With the impressive win, Denver improves to 28-38 overall which leaves them five games behind eighth-placed Dallas who have been struggling mightily, so mathematically speaking, the Nuggets' chances for a playoff berth are still alive.

Meanwhile, the Heat have won six of their last eight games but they'll be looking to bounce back after losing at Toronto by 112-104 in overtime on Saturday. Joe Johnson led the charge with 28 points on 11 of 21 shooting, Luol Deng added 20 points while Goran Dragic and Hassan Whiteside added 13 points each, but it still wasn't enough to take down the Raptors who dominated overtime by 15-7. Dwyane Wade sat out the game while dealing with a thigh injury and his status for Monday is still uncertain.
In ATS trends, the Nuggets are 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games, while the Heat are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games overall.
Head to head, the Nuggets are 14-5 ATS in the last 19 meetings overall and the over is 4-1 in the last five overall.
The Nuggets have been in decent form and they've had a strong record against the Heat over the last couple of seasons, but I'm going with the Heat who are starting to peak at the right time of the season.
