March 18, 2016
We’ve got another eight games coming up in the NBA tonight, continuing what’s been a great run of basketball. Before we get settled in for those tip-offs, let’s check out some of the notable players and situations out there.
Raptors-Pacers: Last night in Indianapolis, the Raptors were able to fend off the host Pacers by a score of 101-94--even though it took overtime to do it.
Kyle Lowry and DeMar Derozan each scored 28 points, while Bismack Biyombo put up a franchise-record 25 rebounds.
It’s another close game for the Pacers. They’re just 1-7 in overtime games and they have 16 games decided by only one possession this year.

Nuggets-Hawks: Tim Hardaway Jr. made the starting lineup for Atlanta last night at home against the Nuggets, for the first time this season. He ended up with a season-high 21 points in this one, helping the team to a 116-98 win with an all-around impressive effort.
Paul Millsap and Jeff Teague each got 16 points for Atlanta, and the team has now won four straight and seven of eight. They’re now in third place in the Eastern Conference.
Bulls-Nets: The Nets took a trip to Chicago last night, where the Bulls were able to defend their home court 118-102.
Doug McDermott put up 25 points in the victory, while Jimmy Butler logged 22 of his own. It was the third straight game for McDermott where he logged 20-plus points.
The Bulls are now one-half game ahead of the Pistons for eighth place and the last playoff card in the Eastern Conference.
Spurs-Blazers: Another night, another home win for the Spurs. San Antonio beat the visiting Blazers 118-110 last night for their 34th straight home win to open the season. That mark trails only the Chicago Bulls, who won 37 in 1995-96.
Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge each put up 22 points in this victory, helping put the game away with a dominant third quarter.
The Spurs have an absolutely huge game coming up tomorrow with the defending champion Warriors.
