The Washington Wizards play host to the New York Knicks at the Verizon Center tonight.
The Knicks have lost six of their last nine games and are coming off a 121-85 beatdown at the hands of the league-best Warriors. Carmelo Anthony scored 18 points with six assists while Arron Afflalo added 15 points off the bench but the Knicks were never really in this game as the Warriors led by double digits early and never relented. The Knicks just had no answer for Stephen Curry who sunk eight 3-pointers en route to 34 points to deliver the Knicks one of their worst losses of the season. With the loss, New York drops to 28-41 overall which is good enough for third last in the Eastern Conference.

Meanwhile, the Wizards will be aiming for a fourth straight win tonight after sneaking past the 76ers in a 99-94 win on Thursday. Marcus Thornton led the scoring with 18 points while Marcin Gortat added 16 points and 13 rebounds, but it was John Wall who set the table with 16 points, 13 rebounds and 14 assists to finish with his fourth triple-double of the season as the Wizards led by 58-39 at halftime before holding on for the narrow victory. With the win, Washington improves to 33-35 on the season which leaves them just 1.5 games out of the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference standings.
In ATS trends, the Knicks are 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a loss and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall, while the Wizards are 7-2 ATS in their last nine home games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall.
Head to head, the Knicks are 2-6-1 ATS in the last nine meetings overall and 3-1-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Washington.
The season just can't end soon enough for the Knicks who are coming off their worst loss of the season, so I'm taking the Wizards who have been playing better basketball lately in an attempt to sneak into the playoff picture. Take Washington to roll at home and win by double digits.
