The Golden State Warriors travel to the Target Center to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday.

The Warriors were aiming for an eighth straight win going into the AT&T Center on Saturday, but they had their momentum halted by the Spurs who beat them by 87-79. Klay Thompson led the team in scoring with 15 points while Draymond Green added 11 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, but Stephen Curry was limited to just 14 points on four of 18 shooting and he was held to just one of 12 from the 3-point line which was the difference in the end as this game was close from start to finish. With the rare loss, Golden State drop to 62-7 on the season and 30-7 on the road.

Meanwhile, the TImberwolves have lost seven of their last 10 games and are coming off a 116-111 loss at Houston. Karl-Anthony Towns had a monster game of 32 points on 13 of 22 shooting, Andrew Wiggins added 21 points while Zach LaVine had 15 as the Wolves shot a healthy 50.6 percent from the field, but they just had no answer for the Rockets who shot 56.5 percent from the field. With the loss, Minnesota drops to 22-47 on the season overall which has them in 13th place in the Western Conference standings.

In ATS trends, the Warriors are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall but just 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team below .400, while the Wolves are 11-2 ATS in their last 13 games against a team with a winning record and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall.

Head to head, the Warriors are 15-7 ATS in the last 22 meetings overall and 10-3 ATS in the last 13 meetings in Minnesota.

The Warriors were somewhat exposed by the Spurs in the team's loss on Saturday, but I think that will only give them more reason to come out tonight and get back on track with another big win. Take Curry to bounce back and steer Golden State to an easy road win tonight.
