The Milwaukee Bucks and the Boston Celtics collide at the TD Garden on Friday night.
The Bucks have lost seven of their last nine games and are in danger of losing a third straightr after getting blown out by the Cavaliers in a 109-80 loss on Tuesday. Giannis Antetokounmpo has been in great form and continued that form with 22 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists while Jabari Parker added 19 points, but the Bucks were never really in this game as they had no answer for the hot-shooting Cavaliers who shot 18 of 36 from the 3-point line to lead by double digits in the first half before cruising in the second. With the loss, Milwaukee drops to 32-46 on the season which is only good for 12th place in the Eastern standings.

Meanwhile, the Celtics are looking to build on their current three-game win streak after taking down the Pelicans by 104-97 on Wednesday. As usual, Isaiah Thomas led the scoring with 32 points, Jae Crowder added 14 points while Avery Bradley had 13 as the Celtics found themselves in a real battle against a struggling Pelicans team playing with a makeshift lineup. Perhaps the Celtics should've done a better job at putting the game away early, but the bottom line is that the win elevates them to 46-32 on the season which is currently good for fourth place in the Eastern standings.
In ATS trends, the Bucks are 6-2 ATS in their last eight road games but just 1-5 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record, while the Celtics are 13-6 ATS in their last 19 home games but just 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall.
Head to head, the Bucks are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Boston and the road team is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings overall.
The Bucks will be eager to atone for their blowout loss in their last outing, but I'm sticking with the Celtics to come in focused and ready to play as there is just too much on the line in terms of playoff implications.
