The Sacramento Kings and the Phoenix Suns do battle on Monday night at the Talking Stick Resort Arena.
The Kings have won five of their last nine games and they'll be high on confidence after their 114-112 win over the Thunder on Saturday. Darren Collison led the team with 27 points and eight assists, Rudy Gay added 24 points while Seth Curry had 20 points off the bench as the Kings were able to put it all together to cause the upset at home. With a record of 32-48 on the season, the Kings are obviously bound for the upcoming lottery, but it was good to see them play well to close out the regular season.

Meanwhile, the Suns have lost seven of their last nine games but they're suddenly aiming for a third straight win after crushing the Pelicans by 121-100 on Saturday. Archie Goodwin led the team with 24 points in just 25 minutes off the bench, Mirza Teletovic added 22 points while Devin Booker had 16 as the Suns took full advantage of a struggling Pelicans team missing all of their key players. With the win, Phoenix improves to 22-58 which is currently good for second last in the Western Conference and fourth last in the league overall.
In ATS trends, the Kings are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven road games and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games overall, while the Suns are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall and 11-26 ATS in their last 37 games against a tema with a losing record.
Head to head, the Kings are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall but the home team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings.
It's good to see these two teams trying to finish the regular season on a high instead of just tanking for the upcoming NBA lottery, but you couldn't back either team with much confidence given how inconsistent they've been all season. The Suns certainly looked good in their blowout win in their last outing, but I can't go past the Kings who just beat the Thunder on Saturday.
