The Toronto Raptors and the Indiana Pacers collide in a crucial Game 4 today at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The Raptors were able to take control of the series with a dominant 101-85 win over the Pacers in Game 3 on Thursday. Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan led the team in scoring with 21 points apiece while Jonas Valanciunas added just nine points with 14 rebounds, but you can credit much of the win to DeMarre Carroll who scored 17 points whilst playing great defense against the Pacers' strike weapon in Paul George. As a team, the Raptors shot just 41.5 percent from the field and 10 of 32 from the 3-point line, but they did a great job of winning the rebound battle by 45-38 thanks to 15 offensive boards while holding the Pacers to just 38.2 percent shooting from the field.

Meanwhile, the Pacers will be starting to panic now that they lost home-court advantage with their second straight loss in the series. Paul George led from the front with 25 points, 10 rebounds and six assists, Myles Turner added 17 points while George Hill had 13, but the Pacers just couldn't get any offense going in the first half and found themselves trailing by 53-36 going into the halftime break. The Pacers would fare better in the second half, but with George shooting just six of 19 from the field, the Pacers desperately needed someone like Monta Ellis to step up and carry the offense, but he finished with just seven points with four turnovers in 36 minutes of action.
In ATS trends, the Raptors are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 Conference Quarterfinals games, while the Pacers are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games following a loss and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record.
Head to head, the Raptors are 42-20 ATS in the last 62 meetings overall and 9-1 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Indiana.
The Raptors have a firm hold on this series now but the Pacers can flip the script with a solid win in Game 4. I really want to take the Pacers to come out firing and level the series with a desperate win at home, but the Raptors look to be in a groove now and should be too tough to beat. It won't be by double digits, but I like the Raptors to stay hot and extend their series lead to 3-1 after this one.
