The Los Angeles Clippers are just two wins from advancing to the next round of the NBA playoffs. For the season the Clippers are averaging 1-4.6 points per game and they are shooting 46.5 percent from the floor while defensively they are allowing 99.9 points and their opponents are shooting 43.2 percent. In the playoffs Chris Paul is leading the Clippers averaging 26.5 points and 8.0 assists per game. J.J. Reddick is averaging 17 points, Blake Griffin is averaging 15.5 points and 10.5 rebounds, Jamal Crawford is averaging 12 points, and DeAndre Jordan is averaging 10.5 points and 15 rebounds. The Clippers defense has looked greatly improved since the playoffs have begun.
Portland is 2-6 against the spread in their last eight home games, 1-4 against the spread following a loss, 8-2 against the spread following a loss by more than 10 points, and 0-4 against the spread against a team with a winning record. Los Angeles is 5-1 against the spread in their last six games, 9-2 against the spread following a win, 5-0 against the spread against a team with a winning record, and 2-8 against the spread playing on two days rest. The favorite has covered the point spread in four of the last five meetings of these two teams.
I can’t believe the Clippers will play defense for three games in a row especially going on the road with a two game lead so I see complacency setting in and the Blazers getting the win.
