The Boston Celtics and the Atlanta Hawks collide in a pivotal Game 4 tonight at the TD Garden.
After two disappointing losses to start the series, the Celtics finally found a foothold in the series with a hard-fought 111-103 win over the Hawks in Game 3 on Friday. Isaiah Thomas exploded for a game-high 42 points, Evan Turner moved into the starting lineup and chipped in with 17 points while Amir Johnson had 15 points as the Celtics dominated the first quarter by 37-20 to set up the win, but it wasn't all one-way traffic as the Celtics really had to rally in the fourth quarter to come out on top. The only real blemish from the win was the play of Jae Crowder who shot just one of 11 for his four points to follow up his Game 2 performance of just two points on one of nine shooting from the field.

Meanwhile, the Hawks will be disappointed with the loss as they just left themselves too much ground to make up after falling behind by 17 points after the first quarter. Jeff Teague led the charge with 23 points while Kent Bazemore and Dennis Schroder had 20 points each, but Al Horford and Paul Millsap finished with just eight points each as the Hawks shot just 44.2 percent from the field and nine of 36 from the 3-point arc. Despite the loss, the Hawks will be encouraged by the fact that they still almost won the game despite falling in such a big hole early in the game.
In ATS trends, the Hawks are 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall and 0-5 ATS in their last five road games, while the Celtics are 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following a win.
Head to head, the home team is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings and the under is 18-6 in the last 24 meetings.
The Celtics really made a stand in Game 3 behind a massive performance from Thomas so while I have the Celtics still losing the series in seven games, I think they can rally again tonight to level the series at 2-2.
