The Portland Trailblazers and the Los Angeles Clippers face off at the Staples Center in Game 5 tonight.
The Trailblazers will be full of confidence now that they have tied their series at 2-2 following their 98-84 win in Game 4 on Monday. CJ McCollum had a decent game of 19 points, while Damian Lillard struggled from the field to finish with just 12 points with six assists, but luckily the Blazers had Al-Farouq Aminu who exploded for a career-high 30 points to go with 10 rebounds, three assists and three blocks as the Blazers dominated the fourth quarter by 32-20 to come out with the crucial win. Defensively, the Blazers were as sharp as ever, holding the Clippers to just 35.7 percent shooting while winning the rebound battle by 58-42.

Meanwhile, the Clippers will be looking to bounce back in a big way after allowing the Blazers to escape with the win in Game 4. Jeff Green and Blake Griffin led the scoring with 17 points while Chris Paul added 16 points with four assists before leaving the game with a broken hand after 25 minutes of action. In his absence, the Clippers needed Jamal Crawford to pick up the slack but he shot just four of 15 from the field for his 12 points, so with the news that Paul will miss the next four to six weeks to recover from his hand surgery on Tuesday, it will be interesting to see who coach Rivers will insert into the starting lineup to help steer the offense.
In ATS trends, the Blazers are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall and 6-18-2 ATS in their last 26 Conference Quarterfinals games, while the Clippers are 5-0 ATS in their last five home games and 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a loss of more than 10 points.
Head to head, the home team is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings and the under is 5-0 in the last five meetings in Los Angeles.
The Clippers received a major blow when they received news of Paul's injury but they have to regroup in a hurry if they want to win this series because the Blazers can smell blood now with the series all locked up. I can't say that I'm too confident picking this game, but I just get the feeling that the Clippers will bounce back in this series and find a way to win behind a big game from Redick or Crawford. If you're looking to have a play on the total, the UNDER represents good value as the final score has gone under in each of the last five meetings at the Staples Center.
