The Chicago Bulls continue their preseason with a stop at Bankers Life Fieldhouse to face the Indiana Pacers.
The Indiana Pacers rode a consistent offense and a stingy 4th quarter defense to defeat the New Orleans Pelicans 113-96. The Pacers didn’t shoot the ball well as a team at 43% but the Pelicans were held to 40% and fired off 28 more shots. The balanced Indiana attack featured seven double digit scorers but none scored more then 14 points. Al Jefferson led Indiana offense with 14 with Joe Young, Georges Niang and Thaddeus Young followed with 12 points apiece with Young and Niang providing the muscle on the backboards with ten and eight rebounds respectively. Rodney Suckey and Paul George scored eleven points each and Jeff Teague added ten points in what turned out to be plenty of scoring on a ton of shots.

The Milwaukee Bucks squeezed out a 93-91 road win against the Chicago Bulls in a preseason bout on Monday that seemed more like a practice then a real contest. I always say the numbers sometimes don’t tell the whole story and a quick look at the stats say the Bulls outshot the Bucks 46%-37.5% but better shooting from beyond the arc and at the charity stripe made up the difference. The Bulls received 13 points apiece from Jimmy Butler and Doug McDermott with the latter going 5-10. Taj Gibson might have been Chicago’s best player with eleven points and a game high 12 rebounds on 5-9 from the floor while Tony Snell added ten points off the bench. Of course, the majority of fans turned out to see Dwayne Wade who mustered six points in 12 minutes.
With Rose no longer with the Bulls the face of the franchise is gone so can the veteran Dwayne Wade become the new face? Only time will tell and it is preseason so we have no clue how this plays out. The Pacers looked good in their win against New Orleans with a lot of players contributing so we need to see that continue for them.
No line is out yet so please check back on Thursday when it will come out…
